At the Rule Your Space event, Ajax introduced a network video recorder – the Ajax NVR – which records video streams from both Ajax cameras and third-party cameras onto an HDD. Specifically for third-party cameras, the Ajax NVR offers integration with video management systems (VMS), ensuring seamless integration with the entire Ajax ecosystem.
In today's security market, there are many different solutions. Some choose to use artificial intelligence (AI) cameras for motion detection instead of deploying a professional security system; however, this approach is often unreliable. Others combine both alarms and video systems, but often operate independently, leading to a more complex user experience. We recognized these gaps and saw an opportunity to create a professional and user-friendly solution.
Ajax NVR: An Integrated Solution
The NVR's integrated power supply ensures a stable power supply and utilizes natural ventilation for quiet operation. For safety and optimal performance, ensuring the HDD is securely mounted in its position is crucial. In the NVR, when the protective cover is closed, all critical connections are hidden.
With NVRs, monitoring is synchronized with system events, providing real-time information to users. Furthermore, privacy settings allow system owners to control access to sensitive data in real time.
The NVR is equipped with continuous motion detection software that constantly analyzes images. Users can adjust the detection area in Ajax PRO Mobile or Ajax PRO Desktop and choose between the NVR's motion detection function and the camera's default settings.

The NVR handles the entire video data transmission process. Thanks to this data transmission technology, browsing storage on the local hard drive becomes smooth, similar to browsing cloud storage.
The customizable Videowall function on the NVR allows real-time monitoring of all streams via Ajax application, helping to meet comprehensive security needs. Furthermore, users can easily export video and receive download links within 24 hours with just a few clicks.
Ajax NVR integrates seamlessly with any alarm from any sensor, whether it's a door opening sensor, water leak sensor, or motion sensor from the MotionCam product line. The camera will automatically record and provide immediate visual verification in the event of an alarm. Users can easily switch from notifications or events to relevant footage.
One of the key features for cameras installed in residential properties is the ability to configure them to operate only when the system is activated. This ensures security while providing peace of mind for residents, knowing that their privacy is protected when the system is off.
Furthermore, the NVR automatically detects cameras on the same network without requiring additional setup. The Ajax application provides real-time updates on the NVR's status, ensuring you're always informed about your system's condition. Additionally, with just a few clicks within the Ajax application, users can create a virtual entity called a "Space," allowing for seamless camera integration without the need for a physical hub.
Security and Privacy
JetSparrow uses TLS encryption for video data, and an mTLS handshake between the NVR and Ajax Cloud ensures system event security. System privacy settings and detailed event logging ensure user data security. Furthermore, Ajax accounts utilize password/chart point protection, two-factor authentication, and unique hard drive recording patterns, ensuring data is only accessible to the owner.
All data is securely stored within the European Union, adhering to strict European data protection standards. Ajax NVR meets NDAA compliance standards, with all product components sourced from trusted manufacturers approved by the U.S. government.
Easy and convenient installation
Ajax NVR offers easy setup with SmartBracket. Simply scan the QR code in the Ajax app to add the NVR. On-site issues can be resolved via a secure wireless BLE connection through Ajax Cloud.
