To use the system effectively, we recommend utilizing all the connections supported by the Hub: Ethernet and 2G SIM for the Hub product; Ethernet, Wi-Fi, 3G SIM, and 2G SIM for the Hub Plus product. The purpose of using multiple connections is to ensure you will never experience a loss of connection with your devices, which could lead to a failure to receive alarm signals.

One of the questions we frequently receive from customers is concern about the operating costs of the system. We always assure our customers that, apart from the initial product purchase cost, we do not charge any additional fees. Customers only have to pay for electricity and SIM data costs for the Hub device.

So how much data will the Hub consume in a month?

Customers often wonder if they have to spend a lot of money maintaining monthly data allowances for their SIM cards. Today, we will help you answer that question: The average data allowance that a Hub uses for one month when there are no alerts is 30 MB (Megabytes), so the usage cost is completely negligible.

You can refer to the solution packages below to choose the one that best suits your needs:

1. Use a standard prepaid SIM card:

• You can use any phone SIM card that supports 3G connectivity. The cost will be calculated based on data usage, averaging around 75 VND/50 KB – which is approximately 46,000 VND/30 MB that Hub uses each month.

• The convenient aspect is that you only need to buy a SIM card and use it without having to register for any other services. Network connectivity is always guaranteed as long as you have money in your account.

• The drawback of this method is that the cost is relatively high and you have to top up your SIM card regularly.

2. Use a prepaid SIM card with a data plan subscription:

• Most mobile network providers now offer various data packages for you to choose from: 10,000 VND - 50 MB/month, 25,000 VND - 150 MB/month, etc.

There are many options to choose from so you can find the plan that suits you best.

• The advantage of this method is that it saves monthly costs and automatically renews at the end of each month, so you don't have to worry about renewing every month.

• Disadvantage: You must pay attention to the balance in your SIM card account and ensure there is enough money for automatic new account registration. When data usage exceeds the limit, the SIM card will automatically register for a new account again. For example: if you register for 50MB for 10,000 VND in the first 20 days of the month and have used it all, the network provider will automatically register for another 50MB for 10,000 VND. This makes controlling and monitoring your SIM card account very difficult.

3. Use a prepaid SIM card with a monthly data plan:

• You can purchase monthly data packages offered by mobile carriers, which initially provide up to several GB of high-speed data and unlimited internet access for the entire month.

Prices for the packages range from 50,000 to 90,000 VND depending on the high-speed data capacity of each package.

• Advantages: ensures continuous connectivity throughout the month without fear of exceeding your data limit.

• Disadvantages: relatively high cost. Requires frequent monthly top-ups.

4. Use a 3G SIM card with pre-installed services:

• Mobile carriers now offer dedicated SIM cards for internet connectivity, removing calling and texting features to reduce costs for users. These SIM cards offer very high-speed data allowances per month, up to 4 GB, ensuring reliable Hub connectivity.

There are many types of SIM cards available, ranging from 3 months, 6 months to 12 months of usage without needing to top up. The average price is around 100,000 to 400,000 VND depending on the type of SIM.

• Advantages: Designed specifically for devices requiring network connectivity. Low average cost, starting from only 25,000 VND/month for a 12-month SIM card. Guaranteed continuous and uninterrupted internet connection. No need to worry about checking your account balance or topping up frequently.

• Disadvantage: It can only be used for devices that connect to the internet and cannot be used for making/receiving phone calls or sending SMS messages.
