The Ajax security system stands out for its ability to integrate smart devices to provide optimal protection for homes and businesses. One important but often overlooked feature is the ability to activate the alarm siren as soon as the camera detects motion.
Why is this feature important?
✅ Instant response: When unusual movement is detected, the system will immediately sound the alarm—alert the homeowner and scare off the intruder.
✅ Increased prevention effectiveness: Combining surveillance (Ajax Camera) and alerts (Ajax StreetSiren) helps prevent intrusions from the outset.
✅ Easy setup, no wires required: All Ajax devices operate wirelessly, allowing for quick configuration via the mobile app.
🎥 Main content of the tutorial video:
-
Access the Ajax application.
- Open the Ajax Security System app on your phone.
- Select the camera you want to set up an alarm for.
-
Set up motion detection.
- Enable motion detection for the camera.
- Customize the sensitivity or detection area as needed.
-
Connects to a siren.
- Go to the "Scenarios" section.
- Create a new scenario: When the camera detects motion → the alarm will activate.
- Select the type of siren, the duration of the siren sound, and the frequency.
-
Test and run a trial.
- Move around in front of the camera to ensure the horn is working properly.
- Further adjustments can be made if needed for better optimization.
🎯 Some things to note when using:
- The camera (or NVR) and the alarm siren must be in the same device group.
- The system requires an Ajax Hub to control the siren.
- Ajax cameras can still operate independently without a hub. However, to activate the alarm, an Ajax hub is required in the system.
