Today, Guard.vn would like to present to everyone a security solution for villas with gardens. This is a real-world project that Guard.vn has just completed as a sample project for users to refer to.

Criteria for protecting a target

The protected property is classified as a villa with a garden covering three sides. It features many complex exterior details:

Many ornamental plants

Outdoor decorations: stone table and chairs, ceramic pots, miniature rock gardens, etc.

_ The distance to the main road is narrow (less than 5m)

Given the complex conditions described above, choosing the right perimeter security system is crucial. Guard.vn's experts have proposed two options:

1. Infrared Beam Detector: Four pairs of infrared beam detectors are installed on the four perimeter walls of the building.

Advantage:

_ Rapid detection of intrusion.

Simple installation

Disadvantages:

_ Due to the complex environment, false alarms are easily triggered (because of dense vegetation and many animals).

Low boundary walls are easily damaged from the outside.

2. Outdoor motion detector (PIR sensor): uses two motion sensors to scan and cover the two areas most likely to be burglarized.

Advantage:

Stable operation in complex environments, minimizing false alarms.

Simple installation.

_ Difficult to damage from the outside.

Disadvantages:

_ The alert will only be triggered when the intruder has breached the perimeter wall.

After careful consideration, we decided to use infrared motion sensors. The product chosen by Guard.vn's experts is the HX-40 RDAM from Optex. This dual-eye infrared sensor with multiple scanning zones completely eliminates false alarms and limits the scanning area to the required range without detecting the movement of people walking on the sidewalk outside the perimeter wall. These sensors will be linked to the Ajax system via an integrated module - the Ajax Transmitter. This transforms the HX-40 RDAM into a wireless sensor within the Ajax security system.

With two main sides of the building protected, intruders would be detected the moment they set foot on the villa grounds.

Protect the inner area

For doors and windows, all are protected by DoorProtect devices, ensuring the most accurate access control. This allows users to always know the open or closed status of the doors.

The transit zones of the house are also protected by indoor motion sensors. This includes two Combine Protect devices – motion and glass break sensors – for the ground floor area, where there are many glass windows, and a Motion Protect Plus device on the rooftop staircase – an infrared sensor combined with a microwave sensor to ensure stable operation in high-temperature environments. All movement within the house will be accurately detected.

A glass break sensor was also installed in the master bedroom, which has numerous windows and glass vents for ventilation and natural light. This helps ensure the homeowner gets a peaceful night's sleep.

The alarm system comes with two speakers: an indoor HomeSiren speaker with a power output of 105dB and an outdoor speaker with a power output of 118dB. This helps to alert users and scare away intruders.

All of these devices are linked through a single central processing unit – the Ajax Hub – discreetly placed in the center of the house. Its range of up to 2,000 meters ensures stable two-way communication between the devices and the central unit.

Camera System

In addition to the Ajax alarm system, Guard.vn also integrates it with a Dahua IP camera system. With three outdoor cameras and one indoor camera, all connected via a single NVR recorder, users can easily monitor everything happening around and inside their home. The Ajax application integrates live streaming, minimizing the inconvenience of using multiple applications simultaneously.

The combination of an early warning system and a camera system allows users to accurately monitor events occurring in their homes and gives them time to take the most appropriate action. This leads to perfect protection.
