Patented smoke chamber technology
Ajax has reached a whole new level of fire safety technology with FireProtect 2. The unique, dustproof, and insect-proof smoke chamber, dual-spectrum optical sensors, and proprietary HazeFlow 2 software algorithm ensure speed and accuracy in fire detection—absolute safety without worrying about false alarms.

The smoke chamber is designed to be free from contamination that could affect the detection process. A unique mechanism provides the optical sensor with unobstructed capabilities to quickly identify combustion materials in the air.
Intelligently recognize food smoke and steam to avoid false alarms.
The smoke chamber is connected to a dual-spectrum optical sensor with blue and infrared LEDs at different wavelengths. It uses the most reliable real-time detection method, directly measuring the concentration of ultrafine particles in the air. This technology allows FireProtect 2 to determine the size of vaporized particles inside the chamber and react only to smoke, ignoring steam from cooking.
Alarming real threats
After in-depth research into burning materials with HazeFlow 2—a smoke detection algorithm developed by Ajax—this algorithm simultaneously analyzes and compares data from spectroscopic sensors with a specific sample to determine whether the smoke is from vapor or steam. The sensor immediately issues an alert when a real fire occurs.
Protection from invisible threats
Carbon monoxide (CO) is invisible, colorless, odorless, and undetectable without a CO sensor, so poisoning can occur without warning. Even low concentrations of CO can be enough to affect health, especially for those with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, the elderly, and children. Exposure to high concentrations can cause long-term harm or even death in a short time. FireProtect 2 warns of dangerous CO levels at 50 ppm even before the first signs of poisoning appear. An integrated chemical sensor responds to low concentrations and can accurately determine CO levels for up to 10 years.
CO warning
- 50 ppm for no more than 90 minutes.
- 100 ppm for no more than 40 minutes.
- 300 ppm for no more than 3 minutes.
Even without smoke
FireProtect 2 is equipped with two A1R thermal sensors to detect smokeless fire threats. These offer a significant advantage in detecting the rapid, blinding temperature rise when composite materials begin to burn or a fire starts from a smoldering fire. The A1R thermal sensors are placed outside the housing to eliminate delays in fire detection and response, ensuring lives are saved. Therefore, FireProtect 2 is ready to detect fires as quickly as possible, even when they start undetected.

FireProtect 2 complies with residential fire safety standards with long battery life, while also offering continuous data exchange with a central control panel and real-time analysis system to filter out false alarms. The sensor is available in two versions with different battery options to meet all market needs.
Low battery warning
The sensor reports low battery status at least 30 days before the battery is completely depleted. This alert will be sent to the installer and user via their Ajax app. Additionally, FireProtect 2 has a built-in LED and speaker to notify of low battery status.
