Thermal noise filter We processed thousands of thermal imaging patterns generated by humans, animals, and the environment to develop the SmartDetect software algorithm. In security mode, the sensor continuously analyzes thermal imaging patterns from the PIR sensor, including IR radiation intensity, heat spot size, movement speed, time spent in the monitored area, and many other parameters. The algorithm instantly and accurately identifies false alarm signals, ensuring the device only reacts to human movement, preventing false alarms.
Temperature compensation Temperature compensation is a software mechanism that helps maintain the contrast of the thermal map even when the ambient temperature is close to human body temperature. After each ambient temperature measurement, the sensor adjusts the PIR data based on a coefficient table stored in memory. The device operates effectively across the entire permissible temperature range.
Sensitivity level The sensor can be adjusted to suit the conditions of each location, taking into account factors such as thermal interference or the presence of pets. Sensitivity settings change the set of signals used to filter false alarms. Low sensitivity makes the sensor less reactive to pet activity. High sensitivity triggers an alarm immediately upon any movement within the monitored area.
Professional installation When properly installed at a height of 2.4 m and with the lens angled perpendicular to the predicted direction of intrusion, the sensor provides an accurate thermal map and is immune to pet-related threats. The device reacts immediately to real threats, while minimizing false alarms caused by animals weighing up to 20 kg and under 50 cm tall.

The Ajax app will proactively notify the monitoring company and user when the battery is low, several months in advance. The battery is replaceable — technicians can replace it after 4 years.
