Outdoor environments are constantly in motion: wind rustles leaves, bushes are heated by the sun, animals and birds move around, and insects land on sensor surfaces. These factors create a constant "noise" that makes it difficult for outdoor sensors to distinguish a real threat—a human being.
MotionProtect Outdoor has addressed this issue in both hardware and software by using two PIR sensors combined with a proprietary two-step signal analysis algorithm – LISA.

Correlation analysis
When motion is detected, LISA analyzes and compares the signals from the two PIR sensors in real time. If the signal patterns are the same, an alarm will be triggered.

Spectral analysis
If both sensors detect motion but the signals aren't sufficiently similar, LISA continues to compare frequency components to determine the presence of a human.

Intelligent anti-obscuration system
Outdoor sensors are very vulnerable to vandalism, especially during the day when the security system is off. Intruders can cover or damage the sensors to gain entry at night.
MotionProtect Outdoor is equipped with an anti-tampering button and an anti-masking system that operates continuously 24/7.

• The system automatically adjusts when mounted on the SmartBracket by analyzing the surrounding environment.
• If an object obstructs the view or the sensor is painted over, the device will immediately detect it and trigger an alarm.
• The highly sensitive anti-tampering switch will also detect when someone attempts to remove the device from the mount.

Transmitting alarm signals ensures
Ajax developed the Jeweller radio protocol to ensure the continuous operation of all devices in the security system.

• Two-way communication between the control center and MotionProtect Outdoor over distances up to 1,700 meters.
• The alert was sent in less than 0.15 seconds.
• The protocol uses time-frame synchronization, device authentication, and data encryption to prevent spoofing and information leaks.
