Why AJAX Smart Security System

Features

What can I use my Ajax system for?

Ajax can be easily expanded with various intrusion, fire, and flood detection devices, as well as allowing for remote management of other electronic equipment. You can add other individual devices to the system. Sensors can be simply connected to Ajax with just a few clicks on the mobile app.

Do Ajax devices really work over long distances as advertised?

Ajax tested the maximum connection distance between the hub and the sensor devices in an open environment, and it actually achieved a distance of 2,000 meters. Your situation might be slightly different due to wall thickness, ceiling height, and other surrounding obstacles that could weaken the signal. If you are unsure about the distance, you can check the signal strength through the Ajax Security System app on your phone to assess the connection quality before installation.

How often should I replace the battery in my device?

Ajax devices operate on batteries rather than relying on a power source like other wired systems. With that in mind, Ajax developed a particularly efficient radio energy protocol, allowing the devices to continuously protect your home or office for up to 7 years.

How do I know when my device is running low on battery?

When your device's battery is low, Ajax will send you a notification. If you want to check, you can find information about the remaining battery level on your device through the app on your phone at any time.

How do I monitor the Ajax security system?

The simplest way to monitor the system is through the Ajax Security System app on iOS and Android. The app allows you to activate/deactivate the alarm system and control your devices (including information on signal strength, battery capacity, and temperature). The system can also be controlled via a remote key or keypad.

Could my pet cat or my automatic vacuum cleaner trigger the alarm?

Ajax devices use numerical algorithms to detect human movement. As long as your pet is shorter than 50cm and weighs less than 20kg, it will not trigger the alarm.

Can I add or remove users from the system?

The answer is yes, if you have full system administrator privileges. You can add up to 50 users to the Ajax system. They could be family members, friends, neighbors, colleagues, or even security companies.

Does Ajax support video surveillance equipment?

External cameras can be connected to the system via the Ajax application. You can choose any camera that supports RTSP or integrates seamlessly with Dahua IP cameras and DVRs.

Types of notifications

How does Ajax notify me of emergencies?

Ajax will send alerts via notifications on your phone's home screen, SMS messages, or direct calls to your phone. You can choose your preferred method through the app on your phone.

How did Ajax manage to send out the alert so quickly?

The Hub continuously monitors the sensors, and the devices regularly report back to the Hub. If a sensor is triggered, it immediately sends a signal to that sensor. The Hub then sends an alert to the user's personal phone and/or the security monitoring center. All of this happens within seconds.

What happens when the internet connection is cut off?

In offline mode, Ajax operates in the same way as other security systems: sensors monitor the situation and report it to the central hub. If any danger occurs, the system's alarm will notify you.

If there is a power outage, will the system still protect me?

The answer is yes. Ajax will continue to protect your home even if the power goes out. All devices operate on power from built-in batteries, including the Hub, which has a backup battery providing up to 16 hours of operation. When the power returns, the Hub will automatically recharge the backup battery.

Can Ajax be hacked?

Ajax is a closed system. It eliminates the possibility of breaches or sabotage by replacing common algorithms and conventional countermeasures with its own proprietary inventions. Ajax develops its own software and has created a multi-layered, wave-based communication technology – Jeweller. Hub's operating system – Malevich – is a real-time, virus-resistant protection system. And Ajax's IoT protocol completely eliminates the risk of exploitation by botnets. To prevent future attacks, Ajax regularly conducts testing through external contractors.

Can the Ajax system be blocked?

Unlike other wired and wireless systems, Ajax uses a dual-channel communication method to send alerts – a direct communication channel along with internet communication. If a problem occurs with one of the two communication channels, Ajax will automatically switch to the other. If an attacker jams the GSM signal, the system will send alerts via the internet or Wi-Fi.

Is it possible for signals between devices and the Hub to be intercepted?

An intruder cannot silently disrupt the signal without your knowledge. When the system detects a connection failure, an alert is sent to notify the user of the disconnected connection. Additionally, the hub will send a high-volume audio alert via radio to the source of the sabotage or other forceful interference. For example, a neighbor's radio receiver might be malfunctioning.

Could Ajax's radio frequency be stolen?

That's impossible. All information emitted from the device is encrypted by a floating-point algorithm before being sent. For even better protection, each device has a unique identification code to prevent spoofing.

Do I need a professional to help install the system?

If you wish, you can absolutely install the system yourself – the app on your phone provides step-by-step instructions. Alternatively, a professional installer can help you maximize the device's features, ensuring optimal protection. The choice is entirely yours.

What kind of information will Ajax collect and why?

Ajax only collects information that helps the system function properly and improves its performance. This information is fragmented, anonymous, and encrypted across multiple servers throughout Europe. Information is sent to the servers via a private encrypted channel and cannot be used without the user's permission. You can learn more about Ajax's privacy policy.

Environmentally friendly and good for human health.

I've heard that radio waves can have negative effects on human health, especially men. Is that true?

Many things can negatively impact human health. These include unhealthy lifestyles, alcohol and drugs, and irregular eating habits. Ajax devices are not like that. Besides being user-friendly, Ajax devices are also environmentally friendly. European certifications prove this.

Services

Who will respond to the alarms when I'm not home?

In theory, you could give your neighbors access to your system. That way, they could simultaneously receive alerts and check for you to ensure everything is okay. That said, Ajax recommends granting that access to professional security personnel – Ajax has connections with numerous security monitoring centers worldwide.

What is the monthly maintenance fee for the Ajax system?

Ajax is completely free to operate when you monitor it yourself. You only pay a monthly fee if you want to integrate your personal system into a security monitoring network. The price will depend on your location and the scale and type of service you wish to subscribe to with the security provider.
